Dubai: More Than 20 Shops Closed for Violating Partial Reopening Rules
Twenty-one shops have been closed in Dubai and 65 outlets have been issued with warnings, while penalties have been issued to seven others, for failing to comply with precautionary measures.
On Friday, Dubai announced a partial reduction in the restrictions on movement.
The move allowed people to move freely in Dubai for the first time since April 4 and saw the reopening of malls, cafes and restaurants under certain conditions.
Shops shut down were in Frij Al Murar, Al Nakheel, International City, Hor Al Anz, Satwa, Al Rafaa, Souq Al Kabeer, Karama, Qusais, Al Nahda, and Al Barsha; their activities included shoe repairing, general trading, car accessories, aluminium trading, technical services, tailoring, mobile phone trading, mill, and workshop tools trading.
Dubai Economy also called on consumers to report any non-compliance to the Covid-19 precautionary guidelines via the Dubai Consumer App available on Apple, Google, and Huawei stores, by calling 600545555, or on the Consumerrights.ae website.
