Saudi: Drug haul busted at Jeddah port

Saudi Arabia said it had foiled an attempt to smuggle into the country 1.6 million Captagon drug pills at the Red Sea port of Jeddah, the second such a bid in a week.

The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority said the haul had been elaborately hidden into cavities of a truck floor.

The authority also released a video showing customs officers seizing the drugs. Two unidentified persons were arrested in connection with the il-licit merchandise.
