Saudi: Extra train trips announced for National Day holiday

The state-owned Saudi Railways Company (SAR) has said it will operate additional journeys later this month to mark the kingdom’s 90th National Day anniversary.

The company plans two extra journeys on the eve of the National Day.

One trip is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, September 22 starting from Riyadh via the cities of Al Qassim and Hail to the region of Al Jouf in northern Saudi Arabia.

Another journey will start later at night from Al Qassim station via Al Majmaah in central Saudi Arabia heading to Riyadh.

The Saudi National Day, celebrated annually on September 23, marks the foundation of Saudi Arabia by King Abdul Aziz Bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud.
