Saudi: First batch of Umrah performers arrives in Makkah

The first batch of foreign pilgrims arrived in Makkah Grand Mosque from abroad to perform the Umrah rituals.

This is part of the third phase under which the Saudi authorities allow 20, 000 people to perform the Umrah rituals and 60,000 to perform prayers daily at Makkah Grand Mosque, in compliance with precautionary measures to protect pilgrims’ safety.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said that the Ministry of Haj and Umrah has stepped up its readiness to serve guests from all over the world, taking into account mandatory precautionary measures to combat the novel coronavirus and and ensure their safety and health.
