Tas’heelat Automotive Company announced the launch of the “EMKOO & EMZOOM”, an all-new pair of SUV models by GAC MOTOR at an exclusive event held on the 14th of August 2023 at the GAC MOTOR showroom.
The unveiled EMKOO features GAC’s ‘diamond cut’ design philosophy, taking point for the brand’s global SUV lineup. The EMKOO carries a distinct appearance, characterized by the chiselled surfaces found in the front fascia, the lack of a conventional front grille, and overall aggressive and sporty detailing.
The Emkoo’s design is heavily influenced by sci-fi elements, bleeding into the car’s sharp lines, angular edges, and stance, with the compact crossover sitting on 19-inch alloy wheels complementing the car’s size and design well.
Under the hood, the Emkoo’s beating heart is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This combination gives the Emkoo a combined output of 177 hp and 270 Nm of torque. This mill is capable of achieving an impressive fuel economy figure of 16.1 km/L.
The EMZOOM takes the stylish looks and capabilities of GAC’s GS3 crossover and ramps it up to another level by blending aesthetics, expansive interior space, cutting-edge technology, and remarkable performance into one crossover. The EMZOOM joins the rapidly growing lineup of next-gen GAC vehicles which include the EMPOW sedan, and the EMKOO SUV.
Aside from the new body and wheels, the EMZOOM is equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to power the front wheels on the road.
