The move aims to ensure compliance and address violations by foreign freight transporters operating inside the Kingdom.

The TGA has imposed strict penalties on violating trucks, including a SR10,000 ($2,670) fine and impoundment for 15 days for the first offense.
Repeat violations will result in increased penalties, with the second offense carrying a SR20,000 ($5,330) fine and a 30-day impoundment, the third offense resulting in a SR40,000 ($10,660) fine and a 60-day impoundment, and the fourth offense leading to a SR80,000 ($21,330) fine and a 60-day impoundment.
For a fifth violation, the fine will reach SR160,000 ($42,650), with the truck being impounded for 60 days, and repeated noncompliance could result in the vehicle’s confiscation.
The TGA continues to conduct intensive field campaigns across various regions of Saudi Arabia as part of its regulatory oversight of the transport sector.
These measures are designed to ensure fair competition, promote equal opportunities for carriers, and strengthen the national transport sector.
The TGA reaffirmed that these efforts align with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, aiming to enhance the sector’s development and improve its competitiveness both locally and internationally.
