Saudi King Calls For Emergency GCC Arab League Meeting

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud called for an emergency meeting of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and leaders of Arab League countries to discuss the security of the region and measures to enhance it on Ramadan 25 (May 30) according to a Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report.

The emergency Arab League meeting has been called following an attack on the commercial maritime ships in the territorial waters of the UAE and the Iran-backed Houthi militias’ attacks on two oil pumping stations in Saudi Arabia.

These attacks have serious consequences on regional and global peace and security as well as the stability of global oil supply and markets, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced through its official source.
