The citywide annual festival of light and art was launched in March 2021. It is a light art festival featuring light artworks from leading international and Saudi artists. It is part of Riyadh Art whose mission is to transform the city into a gallery without walls, bringing art to residential neighbourhoods, parks, public areas, metro and bus stations, bridges and pedestrian pathways, city entrances and tourist destinations.

The exhibition Refracted Identities, Shared Futures will open on November 30, 2023, and run until March 2, 2024, and will be held at the Riyadh Art space in JAX District featuring more than 100 artists (more than 35 from Saudi Arabia) from 35 countries. Artworks will be accompanied by a diverse program of over 500 community engagement programs including tours, talks, workshops, family activities, film and music. Neville Wakefield will be Lead Curator and Maya Al Athel, will be the Curator for the exhibition.

Most of the outdoor public artworks are non-ticketed and open to all. A small number of the artworks are free of charge but require prior booking in order to manage capacity and to protect the health and safety of visitors. Special activities such as workshops, film screenings and talks are ticketed but free of charge. The full program and ticketing details can be found on Noor Riyadh’s website.
