NHRA confirms Bahraini market free of “metformin”

National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) confirmed that the Bahraini market is free of the drug “metformin” for treating diabetes, which was announced to be withdrawn in the United Arab Emirates.

NHRA said that the metformin drug manufactured by Nostrum Laboratories has been withdrawn from Emirati markets, is not registered in Bahrain, and therefore it was not imported to the Bahraini market.
