Saudi: No More Private Clinic Ownership for Expats

The Council of Ministers on Tuesday approved the amendment in the Private Health Institutions Law under which the owner of the clinic shall be a Saudi doctor having the same specialization of the clinic work. The amendment also stipulates that the owner shall be the clinic’s supervisor who is working full time for it.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman chaired the weekly session of the Cabinet at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of Media Turki Al-Shabanah said the Cabinet took the decision to amend paragraph two of Article 2 of the law after reviewing the report of the minister of health and examining two earlier decisions taken by the Shoura Council in this regard.
