More than 750,000 passengers have taken internal flights from Saudi airports after the restart of domestic flights.

The Kingdom’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said the figures represent the period from May 31- June 30 when flights resumed after the coronavirus pandemic had grounded aircraft.

Saudi Press Agency reported that 756,644 passengers had departed on 9,758 flights from the Kingdom’s airports in that time.

GACA said it was gradually resuming domestic flights, with the aim of ensuring safe travel for passengers through Saudi airports, while taking all necessary precautions and health measures.
