Saudi: Schools in Riyadh Shut Over Dust Storm

Educational institutions in Riyadh are closed today due to weather forecasts predicting the ongoing dust storm will continue.

Head of the General Directorate of Education in Riyadh, Hamad bin Nasser Al-Waheibi, had ordered school classes to be cancelled in the capital and its provinces. Classes at the Al-Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University are also suspended today due to the weather.

The decisions are based on a report by the General Authority for Meteorology and Environment predicting that a current dust storm is expected to continue in Riyadh.
