Saudi To Issue Entertainment License In 180 Seconds

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) unveiled plans to issue licenses within 180 seconds instead of the current time of one or two days.

Sultan Al-Faqeer, executive director of the operations sector at GEA, underscored the significance of facilitating the procedures for the issuance of licenses in order to attract more investments in the entertainment sector in view of the great demand for it.

Al-Faqeer noted that the procedures for issuing licenses have been simplified and it is possible to obtain license within a day, without visiting GEA after started receiving applications online.

The authority has launched a new package of licenses, which is characterized by ease and clarity of procedures so as to enable those who want to start their entertainment activities by making use of the best technical practices.

It is noteworthy that hundreds of investors and those interested to make investments in the entertainment sector as well as stakeholders from government and private entities visited an exhibition, organized in this regard at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.

At the fair, investors were briefed on models of the mechanism for obtaining licenses.
