By 2020, an estimated three million women are said to be driving in Saudi Arabia, according to a recent audit report.

Since the ban on female drivers in KSA was lifted in June 2018, Saudi has experienced a number of economic benefits including rise in car sales and cost deductions by phasing out foreign drivers.

Car sales have increased by nearly 25 percent since female drivers took to the streets and approximately between SR9 billion (appx.BD 904 million) and SR12 billion (appx. BD 1.2 billion) is likely saved annually by reducing the need for expatriate drivers.
