Saudia starts using UV light to disinfect aircraft cabins
The Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) on Wednesday began using ultraviolet light to disinfect aircraft cabins in cooperation with Saudi Ground Services.
It is part of the airlines’ efforts to ensure the safety of passengers and curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The technology helps disinfect a medium-size cabin within 10 minutes.
Saudi Arabia will end all restrictions on air, land and sea transport after Jan. 1 next year.
