Bahrain: Swimming pool visit results in 15 cases among 12 households

A 40-year-old female citizen tested positive after developing symptoms for coronavirus, according to the Ministry of Health’s contact tracing information.

According to the contact tracing conducted by the Ministry, there were 15 positive cases that came in contact with one another at a privately rented swimming pool. The 15 cases are all family-related including the index case’s 4 children, brother, 3 sisters as well as their children.

A total of 14 cases had direct contact with the index case. Only one case is of secondary infection.

This cluster affected 12 different households.
