Sharjah allows certain female employees to work from home
Following the directives to support mothers working in the local government, mothers are eligible to work from home under certain conditions, the Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources issued a circular.
Mothers of children undertaking remote learning, in Grade 6 and below, children who are from People of Determination, or suffering from chronic diseases are eligible.
The circular noted that mothers will be allowed to work from home provided their job can be done remotely with no effects on the operations of the government entity they are employed in.
It further affirmed that the local departments might authorise male employees to work remotely if they have no one to care for and follow-up children only during an official remote learning schedule.
