UAE Establishes 150-Bed Field Hospital in Gaza
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced on Friday its plans to set up a fully equipped field hospital in the southern Gaza Strip.
The temporary medical facility will be located near the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.
The 150-bed field hospital will be established in phases. It will include departments for general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics and gynecology.

The facility will also have intensive care units for both children and adults, as well as clinics for internal medicine, dentistry, psychiatry and family medicine.
Support services like CT imaging, a laboratory and pharmacy will also be available.
The field hospital is being constructed under the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as part of the country’s ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation.
An Emirati medical team will oversee operations at the facility and provide care to injured Palestinians.
The initiative aims to alleviate suffering and support Gaza’s strained healthcare system, which faces immense challenges.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also thankful for volunteers supporting its ‘Tarahum for Gaza’ campaign.
