Sterilization gates are not safe nor effective, says NHRA

“Sterilization gates are not safe nor effective against COVID-19 or to limit its spread,” this was announced by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) through its official website and social media accounts.

The authority added that the sterilization gates, locally known as COVID-19 tunnels, might help the viruses to fly out due to the air pressure emitted from them.

In addition, NHRA noted, the sterilizers used in the gates might have a negative impact on human health. NHRA explained that as of today, there was no sterilizer made for inhalation or on the skin and eyes.

NHRA authority assured that the sterilization gates can be only used to sterilize the luggage.
