Arab Coalition destroys two armed Houthi drones targeting Saudi Arabia

The Arab Coalition on Friday intercepted and destroyed two explosive-laden drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia, Saudi Press Agency reported quoting statements from the coalition’s spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki.

The first armed drone was launched early morning while the second one was fired in the afternoon

The failed attacks are the latest in the series of armed drones launched by the Houthis in recent weeks.

In one of the first reactions, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned the Houthi drone attacks.

In a statement, OIC Secretary-General Yousef Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen affirmed the organization’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures the Kingdom takes to preserve its security and protect its territories against terrorist acts committed by the Houthi militia and those who supply it weapons, to target civilians and civilian facilities.
