Bahrain: October 2020 was slightly warmer than normal

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ Meteorological Directorate reported in their monthly weather summary that the month of October, was slightly warmer than normal with below average relative humidities and wind speed.

The mean temperature of the month was 30.1°C which is 0.9°C above the long-term normal for October. Note that the highest mean monthly temperature for October was 32.1°C recorded in 2019.

The mean maximum temperature of the month was 33.3°C which is 0.2°C above the long-term normal.

No precipitation was reported in October. Note that the long-term average total precipitation for October is 0.5 mm. The highest monthly total precipitation recorded during October at BIA was 19.9 mm which occurred in 2018.

October 2020 was the sunniest month for all October since the sunshine records began in 1968. The total hours of sunshine for the month was 331.3 hours. The old record was 329.4 hours which was recorded in October 2014.
