Bahrain: The British School of Bahrain to Host International COBIS Music Festival Next Year

The Council of British International Schools (COBIS) announced the highly anticipated COBIS Music Festival 2024. The globally recognised event, which showcases musical talents from over 270 COBIS member schools in more than 80 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas, will take place in Bahrain, for the very first time, as the British School of Bahrain (BSB), was selected to host the prestigious event. The festival is set to take place from 9th to 11th February 2024. As one of the most prestigious events on the global school calendar, the COBIS Music Festival is a platform where students, educators, and music enthusiasts, converge, in celebration of music. This festival is a testament to COBIS’s dedication to fostering creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange through musical education. Classes to resume at British School of Bahrain tomorrow

Studies will resume at the British School of Bahrain on November 1, 2020, the Public and Media Relations Directorate at the Ministry of Education has announced. The school had sanitised all its facilities and was assured that the few infected cases and their contacts had completed the home confinement period ahead of re-opening, based on the precautionary measures and the health protocol issued by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Health Ministry called on school principals to contact the relevant Education Ministry’s directorates when COVID-19 cases are detected to coordinate with the Public Health Directorate on the procedures to be followed in case there is a decision to close a school, be it public or private. Earlier this month, the Health Ministry, in coordination with the Education Ministry, suspended studies in the British School of Bahrain for ten days. The ministry said that the school would not reopen until the Public Health Directorate got assured that no new cases were registered during the ten days and that the school was completely free of any infected cases.
