Saudi Arabia records 110 new virus cases and 4 deaths

Coronavirus in Saudi Arabia on Friday reported 110 new infections over the past 24 hours across the Kingdom, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

The ministry announced four more deaths over the past 24 hours due to complications caused by COVID-19, equaling the lowest single-day fatalities in many months since the outbreak of the pandemic in the Kingdom.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 363,692 and the virus-related death toll to 6,286.

The ministry also reported 174 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 355,382, with the recovery rate rising to 97.69 percent.

The Riyadh region reported the highest number of infections with 40 cases, followed by the Makkah region with 31 and the Eastern region and Madinah region with 12 cases each.

The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom.

With the recoveries surpassing new cases regularly, the active cases in Saudi Arabia have also dropped to 2,024 out of which 308 were critical cases.
