Qatar: Cleric Al-Qaradawi contracts Covid-19

Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, a 94-year-old Egyptian cleric based in Qatar and infamous for his controversial religious edicts, has contracted Covid-19, reported Turkish news agency Anadolu.

Al-Qaradawi is the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, head of the European council for Fatwa and Research and co-founder of IslamOnline.net.

His son, Abdul-Rahman Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, confirmed on Twitter that the cleric had the virus and said that his father had been vaccinated against the virus previously.
