Saudi Arabia reports 1,255 new coronavirus cases, 14 deaths

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Thursday 1,255 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours.

The ministry reported 14 more deaths over the past 24 hours due to complications caused by the virus.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 479,390 and the virus-related fatalities to 7,730.

The ministry also recorded 1,247 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 460,338.

The Makkah region reported the highest number of new cases with 340, followed by the Eastern region with 282, the Riyadh region with 203, and the Asir region with 156 infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with just one of them reporting less than 10 infections.

According to the ministry, there were 11,322 active cases and 1,451 of them were in critical condition.
