Bahrain extends suspension of consultation fees for expats

Bahrain has extended for two more months a set of measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

They include the continued suspension of charges of seven Bahraini dinars levied on health services offered to foreigners at the country’s health centres, Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper reported. The suspension in place for two more months aims at helping early diagnosis of virus cases, it added.

The Health Ministry also announced renewing anti-virus precautions at stores and industrial enterprises for two additional months including observance of social distancing.

Change rooms at garments stores are, meanwhile, allowed to reopen in line with restrictions for two months.

Bahrain so far has reported a tally of 92,675 virus cases and 352 related fatalities.
