Bahrain reports two new deaths; Total Death Toll Rises to 17

The Ministry of Health announces the death of a 59-year-old male Bahraini and 88-year old male Bahraini, registered active cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) suffering from underlying and chronic health problems.

The Ministry of Health expresses its heartfelt condolences to their families at this difficult time. The patients, along with all other active COVID-19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team.

The Ministry of Health announces 126 coronavirus recoveries and 344 new active cases today.

Among the 344 new cases reported today, 234 are expatriate workers and 110 are contacts of active cases.

The Ministry of Health also recorded that 42 cases are receiving treatment, of which 13 cases are critical. 5,826 cases have recovered and have been discharged so far.

 

 

Currently, the active cases are 4,950 with 309,573 people having been tested in the Kingdom. 17 deaths have been recorded in total.
