Oman: Blood donation allowed during lockdown

In view of the urgent need to continue blood donations, those wishing to donate will be granted temporary permits to visit the Central Blood Bank in Bausher during the movement ban, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

To obtain a permit, donors must book an appointment two days before the due date by sending the word ‘permit’ via WhatsApp to 94555648.

After the appointment is confirmed, a copy of the permit will be sent via WhatsApp. ‘The donor will receive another permit from the blood bank after the donation.

Those interested can donate blood from Saturday to Thursday from 8am to 8 pm, and on Friday from 3pm to 8pm. The Blood Bank will be closed on the first day of Eid Al Adha.
