Two Security Officers Among 5 Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges in Riyadh

Two security officers have been arrested in Riyadh on charges of drug trafficking. The arrests were made as part of an ongoing effort to combat illegal narcotics trade in the country and uphold the integrity of the security forces.

The individuals in question were entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining law and order but were allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade in the capital city.

The men were apprehended with a significant quantity of illegal narcotics in their possession, totaling a staggering 74.6 kilograms of hashish.

Three Ethiopian nationals who violated border security regulations were also arrested with the two citizens employed in the security sector. Shockingly, these individuals were operating within three neighborhoods in Riyadh, transforming them into drug trafficking hubs.

The Ministry of Interior has affirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity within the security forces and taking swift action against any individuals found engaged in criminal activities.

The arrested security officers are now facing legal proceedings, and further investigations are underway to determine the extent of their involvement in the drug trade.

This incident underscores the importance of rooting out corruption and criminal behavior within the ranks of security forces, as maintaining public trust and safety remains a top priority for law enforcement agencies across the country.
