Bahrain: LMRA Launches Virtual Client Services Branch for Employers

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has announced the soft launch of its Virtual Client Services Branch for Employers, in a bid to enhancing services through process re-engineering and optimal technology utilization.

In its initial phase, the Virtual branch is set to provide four essential services: work permit renewal, work permit cancellation, updating worker addresses, and handling general inquiries related to LMRA services.

Nibras Talib, the CEO of LMRA, emphasised the Authority’s commitment to expanding virtual services, ensuring easier access for clients and employers to high-quality, faster, and more efficient services.

The move is also part of an ongoing effort to assess and enhance the overall performance of LMRA services. This development follows the successful launch of the Remote Virtual Inspection Service, with plans for additional online services in the pipeline.

Ahmed Al Arabi, Deputy CEO for Operations and Services, highlighted that virtual services minimize the need for in-person visits to LMRA offices, significantly improving the quality and speed of service delivery.

Employers interested in availing virtual services can schedule appointments through LMRA’s website. Upon selecting the desired service and providing necessary information, dedicated Client Services agents will contact them to complete transactions without the need to visit LM[1]RA’s premises.

LMRA assured the continuous provision of its services through its four centers across various governorates. Sanabis and Mina Salman branches operate from Sunday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 5 pm, while branches in Seef Mall-Arad in Muharraq Governorate and Riffa operate during the same hours from Sunday to Thursday, with an additional operating time on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
