Bahrain: Guidelines for Reopening Salons and Barbershops

Salons and barbershops have been allowed to resume services starting Wednesday, May 27th. In lieu of this, several guidelines have been issued to ensure safety and hygiene.

Services such as facials, threading, microblading, massages, semi-permanent eyelashes, and returnable hair extensions are not allowed in reopening salons and barbershops.

All employees must ensure that they wear masks, face protector, gloves and throwable aprons in salons and barbershops.

Gloves and masks are to be used by customers except when they are receiving a service that requires their removal.

The use of hairdryers is prohibited.

Two meters space must be maintained between customers and the number of workers in salons and barbershops must be reduced as much as possible. Continuous sterilization must be done by assigned staff to sterilize surfaces continuously and after each use.

Salons and barbershops are to organize appointments and allow customers to enter by appointment only. Waiting areas must be closed.
