Saudi: More than 52,000 perfume manufacturing materials seized

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) said that more than 52,000 of violating perfume-manufacturing materials from unknown sources, ready for distribution and poorly stored, were seized at a rest house in Rafha governorate.

The SFDA found quantities of chemicals and essential oils and (17,500) cans and empty containers, 30,000 stickers and 5,000 perfume bottles, in addition to products that are not approved by the authority to be used in the manufacture of cosmetic products.

The violators were referred to the concerned authorities to complete the legal procedures against them. The authorities said that they had also inspected 29 facilities committing violations last August by using non-approved products in the manufacture of cosmetics.
