6.0-magnitude earthquake hits Southern Philippines

An earthquake of 6.0 magnitude hit Southern Philippines on Sunday at 12:22 pm (0422 GMT) with an epicenter plotted two kilometers east of Magsaysay in Mindanao.

Civil defense officials reported strong shaking in the region, but no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

The disturbance was recorded at a depth of 24.6 kilometers.
