Saudi: Riyadh Police Arrest 3 People for Invading Stadium’s Pitch During Football Match

Riyadh police have arrested 3 people for invading the pitch during a football match. The official spokesperson of the Riyadh police said that they have arrested 3 people who entered the pitch of the stadium in coordination with the Ministry of Sports.

The legal measures were taken against the three people, and then they were referred to the Public Prosecution, the official spokesperson confirmed.

A video went viral showing 3 people invading and running on the pitch of the Alawwal Park stadium during the Al Nassr and Al Taawoun match that was held on Friday, as part of the activities of the second round of the Saudi Professional League.

Following the incident, an official source in Saudi Arabia’s Public Prosecution has stressed the importance of sports fans to commit and abide by the rules and regulations during sports matches.

The rules and regulations include several things, the most notable of which is not going down to the stadium pitch. The public must not disrupt the game or affect the safety of others, in addition to not committing any violating behaviour.

The official source urged all fans to abide by the rules and not to violate instructions or commit anything that would distort events in general and sports events in particular.
