Over 20 Expats Arrested in Oman for Violating Labour Laws

The Ministry of Labour, in coordination with authorities, has arrested 25 expats for violating Labour Laws in Muscat Governorate.

“As part of the process of following up on the expat workforce and the extent of their commitment to the provisions of the Labour Law, and to continue combating the phenomenon of random selling practised by the expat workforce in Muscat Governorate in the Wilayats of Qurayyat and Amerat, the Ministry of Labour, represented by the General Directorate of Labour Welfare, carried out an inspection campaign. During the campaign, 25 workers were arrested for violation of the provisions of the Labour Law. Legal measures are being taken against them,” a statement said.
