The crisis related to the rights of expatriate teachers has escalated to the extent that some teachers have threatened to resort to international courts to prosecute the State of Kuwait, represented by the Ministry of Education, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Reportedly, hundreds of complaints were submitted to the International Human Rights Organization in Geneva, in preparation for filing lawsuits at the International Labor Organization and hiring lawyers to carry out these procedures.
According to informed sources, Ministry of Education will not stand idle in the face of these measures, which affect the country’s reputation in international forums. Firm actions will be taken against any teacher who harms Kuwait’s reputation. If any teacher is proven to have done so, his/her service will be terminated.
