You’ve probably never heard of the Principality of Andorra. It’s a tiny nation tucked in the Pyrenees region between Spain and France, with a footprint of roughly 181 square miles and a population of about 81,000 people. And those people, as it turns out, are wealthy — and they love their Porsches.

How do we know? Because the Porsche 911 was the best-selling new car in Andorra in 2024.

This data comes to us from Felipe Munoz, who works for the automotive research industry analysis firm JATO Dynamics and recently posted this fascinating quirk of 911 sales on his carindustryanalysis Instagram page.

According to the World Health Organization, the citizens of Andorra lead a prosperous lifestyle thanks to tourism, the banking industry and a low tax rate. The region is also blessed with stunning mountains, which may explain why citizens gravitate towards fun-to-drive cars. 83 Porsche 911s were sold here last year, while the Toyota GR Yaris was in second place, with 47 sales; the Porsche Cayenne was third, with 46 units moved, and the Macan was just behind with 45.

From a brand perspective, Mercedes-Benz was the best-seller in Andorra in 2024, despite not having a single model crack the top 10; Mercedes sold 231 total vehicles in Andorra last year, a 14% year-over-year decline. Porsche was second, with 210 total sales — a 57% increase compared to the year before. Ford rounds out the top three with 161 total new vehicles moved.
