Total Coronavirus Cases In UAE Cross 10,000
There were five new coronavirus deaths reported in the UAE on Sunday as the number of confirmed cases in the country surged past 10,000.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), a further 536 people testing positive for the Covid-19 virus, taking the total up to 10,349.
While the death toll in the UAE currently stands at 76.
The ministry said that the fatalities, of various nationalities, all suffered from pre-existing chronic illnesses.
It was also announced on Sunday that 91 cases had recovered, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,978 in the country.
The ministry added that the new identification of patients was a result of over 35,000 Covid-19 tests over the past few days.
