Liverpool Rejects $190 Million Saudi Deal for Mohamed Salah: Report

Liverpool has firmly rejected the £150 million ($189,903,750 approximately) offer for their star forward, Mohamed Salah, from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, according to a report by BBC.

The bid, exceeding £100 million with add-ons, was dismissed by the Premier League giants.

Liverpool’s stance on Salah’s future was confirmed by manager Jurgen Klopp, who said: “The position remains the same. Absolutely no doubt about that. That’s how it is. Nothing else to say.”

Salah, the 31-year-old Egyptian international, remains under contract with Liverpool after signing a new three-year deal last summer. Klopp added last week that Salah was “100 percent committed” to the club’s cause.

The player’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has previously ended speculation about a potential move to Saudi Arabia.

In a social media post on August 7, Issa said: “If we considered leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer.”

This new development shows Liverpool’s determination to retain one of their most influential players, who has consistently delivered exceptional performances since his arrival from Roma in 2017.

Egyptian international footballer Mohamed Salah was reportedly set to finalise his transfer to Al Ittihad Club in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as per reports from Okaz newspaper and prominent Saudi journalist Adel Almas.

The transfer deal, was reported to have been completed, with Salah expected to arrive in Jeddah on Friday evening via a private aircraft.

“From the information I gathered recently, the Egyptian sensation Mohamed Salah is set to land in Jeddah on a private plane tomorrow, Friday. This move comes after the successful completion of his official transfer proceedings, transitioning from the English club, Liverpool, to the ranks of Al Ittihad club,” Adel Almas said via his official social media account on Thursday.
