Two expatriates died in two different cases of suspected suicide in Kuwait where authorities deport foreigners attempting to kill themselves, according to media reports.
In the first case, the body of an Asian expatriate was found after he had committed suicide by hanging himself in a desert area in the southern part of Kuwait, reported Al Anba newspaper.
Authorities were alerted about the case after receiving a report from another expat saying he had seen his friend hanging from a rope inside a room, the paper quoted a security source as saying.
Medics who rushed to the place found that the 40-year-old man had passed away.
In the second case, an Arab expat committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope inside a building in the Farwaniyah governorate south of Kuwait City, according to the same paper.
His body was transferred to the forensic medicine department for an autopsy. The motives for suicide in both cases are not clear yet.
The reported deaths come after Kuwaiti authorities ordered the deportation of an Indian man, who had attempted to commit suicide from an iconic bridge in the country.
Authorities at the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry have decided to deport the expatriate and ban his return to the country for life after he attempted suicide by throwing himself from the Jaber Bridge, according to Al Rai newspaper.
