Dubai’s Number Plate Craze Rakes in Dhs51M: Here Are the Top-Selling Ones
The top premium number plate was AA30 that sold for Dhs4,540,000.
A sum of Dhs51.216m was raised in the 114th open auction for exclusive vehicle number plates in Dubai
This was also the final auction for 2023 held by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel on Saturday, December 30.
Top-billed number plates
Plate AA30, which was sold for Dhs4,540,000, led the top-selling plates followed by O48, which was exchanged for Dhs2,480,000 ahead of plate AA555.
AA555 was sold for Dhs2,560,000, plate T64 was acquired for Dhs2,400,000 and Q66666 fetched Dhs1,610,000.
RTA offered 90 of these for bidding in this open auction comprising two, three, four, and five digits of categories: AA-I-J -M-N-O -Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X-Y-Z.
In other news, proceeds of the 113th Open Auction held on September 2 amounted to Dhs49.789m.
