The General Civil Aviation Authority has announced the gradual resumption of limited flights across airports in the UAE, as authorities move to assist thousands of travellers stranded by recent regional developments.
Under the revised operational plan, air traffic is currently being managed at a rate of 48 flights per hour through designated emergency corridors. Since 1 March 2026, a total of 17,498 passengers have departed on 60 flights operated by national carriers, according to officials. In the next phase of the recovery plan, authorities expect to operate around 80 flights per day, enabling more than 27,000 passengers to leave the country safely.
Airport operations, while gradually stabilising, continue under controlled conditions as aviation authorities prioritise safety and the orderly movement of travellers.
Dubai (DXB & DWC):At Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport, entry to terminals remains restricted to travellers with confirmed bookings. Passengers are advised to verify their departure times and terminal information before heading to the airport.
Abu Dhabi (Zayed International):At Zayed International Airport, access to the airport is limited to confirmed passengers as authorities focus on maintaining safe and orderly operations.
Sharjah (SIA):Flights have resumed at Sharjah International Airport under a defined operating schedule. Passengers are advised to confirm flight times directly with their airline before travelling.
Fujairah:From Fujairah International Airport, SalamAir is operating services connecting travellers to several destinations, including Calicut, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Istanbul, Cairo and Karachi.
Additional services between Muscat and Fujairah are also scheduled, including OV1072 (Fujairah → Muscat) from 08:45 to 09:40 and OV1071 (Muscat → Fujairah) from 07:20 to 08:15.
Ras Al Khaimah (RKT):Limited operations have resumed at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, with authorities advising travellers to check directly with airlines for updates, rescheduling or rebooking options.
Officials urged passengers to confirm their bookings before travelling to the airport and to follow updates issued by airlines and aviation authorities as operations continue to stabilise.
