IndiGo, India’s low-cost airline, has announced the removal of the fuel charge that was previously applicable on its domestic and international routes, effective January 4.
The fuel charge was introduced in October 2023 due to a surge in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices.
However, with the recent reduction in ATF prices, IndiGo has decided to withdraw the charge.
“As ATF prices are dynamic, we will continue to adjust our fares and components thereof to respond to any change in prices or market conditions. IndiGo remains committed to its promise of providing affordable, on-time, courteous, and hassle-free travel for our customers,” the airline said in a statement.
The removal of the fuel charge reflects IndiGo’s dedication to offering competitive fares to its passengers.
By responding to the fluctuating ATF prices, the airline aims to provide economic benefits to its customers.
With this development, IndiGo passengers can expect reduced fares on their upcoming flights.
