UAE confirms 624 new cases; Total cases reach 37,642
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Friday announced 624 new cases of Covid-19, 765 cases of recovery and one death.
The new cases were detected through additional 44,000 tests.
The total number of infections, as on June 5, stands at 37,642 with 20,337 total recoveries. The death toll rises to 274.
The ministry called on the public to abide by the precautionary measures in place and following all necessary medical advice in order to avoid more infections.
As restrictions began to ease over the past few weeks, businesses and public spaces offices are reopening in the country, however, the government has stressed on residents’ commitment to precautionary measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.
