Bahrainis Can Fly Multiple Times in Two Years to UK for Just BD4.8 From Today

The new electronic permit system for travellers heading to the UK is set to take effect starting today (February 1).

The Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will allow Bahraini citizens to travel to the UK for multiple trips over two years, with a fee of 10 pounds (BD4.8) only. Effective today, GCC and Jordanian citizens can apply for ETA. This new system will enable them to travel to the UK starting on February 22.

The ETA permits short and unlimited trips, including visits for tourism, family visits, studying, conducting business, and onward travel to other destinations.

The permit remains valid for two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first, offering more flexibility compared to the previous Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) System. An additional benefit of the new system is its detachment from a specific trip, allowing multiple uses within the two-year validity period.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously announced that Bahraini citizens could obtain an electronic travel permit for the UK in early February 2024. The statement emphasised that this decision will apply to those departing for the UK starting February 22.
