UAE: COVID-19 Tests Free for These Categories
Emirati citizens, pregnant women, and residents over the age of 50 will be tested for free for COVID-19 starting next week, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Tuesday.
In a joint statement, the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority announced the same.
“Sheikh Mohammed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, directed free COVID-19 tests for Emirati citizens and their domestic workers, along with people of determination, pregnant women, and residents over the age of 50 years, in addition to those who have symptoms associated with the virus and those in close contact with the confirmed cases.”
Health authorities will later specify and announce the dates and times of free tests.
