UAE: Dhs500 fine for leaving car engine running, unattended
The Abu Dhabi Police warned drivers against leaving their cars running while shopping, or at fuel stations.
The Police added that article no.70 of the Federal Traffic Act stipulates that the person who is not committed to signs and traffic guidelines would be fined Dhs500.
The police added that traffic rules stipulated that it is not allowed to stop in the prohibited places, and that if the driver had to stop on the road, he must take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of traffic on the road.
