Bahrain: Royal Thai Embassy closed till August 22

After one embassy personnel tested positive for COVID-19, the Royal Thai Embassy in Bahrain announced the closure of its premises. 

In its public notice, the embassy stated that on Saturday, one of the embassy personnel’s tested positive and in line with this the embassy will be closed from August 09 until the 22nd. 

The premises will be thoroughly disinfected, and the rest of the embassy staff has been tested for COVID-19, while they will undergo a period in self-quarantine, in compliance with the relevant guidelines issued by the government of Bahrain.

The embassy also said that flights scheduled for the repatriation of Thai nationals on August 9 and 11 will be postponed, and no special flights back to Thailand will be organized until the situation is resolved according to social media.
