UAE: Jail, Dhs100,000 fine for using fireworks without permit
The Abu Dhabi Police have warned the public against using fireworks during Eid Al Adha celebrations.
A penalty of imprisonment for no less than one year, a fine of no less than Dhs100,000 or both shall be imposed on anyone who, without a license, trades, imports, exports, manufactures or transports fireworks.
The police called on parents to refrain their children from buying fireworks and warning them of their dangers, as well as directing them to play safe alternative games.
Police have urged the public to report those who promote or vend, or any information related to that, via 999 or the “Aman” service that deals with their request in complete confidentiality on 8002626.
