UAE Launches First Bus Route Between Dubai & Al Ain

The Public Transport Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority – Dubai has launched its first bus on a new route connecting Dubai and Al Ain.

The route has been launched in coordination with the Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi and will fulfil the increasing demand for public transport services between the cities, a statement said.

The new route (E201) departs from Al Ghubaiba bus station in Dubai to the bus station in Al Ain with a frequency of 30 minutes. The bus passes by Al Jafiliya Metro Station – north, Wasl, Wasl Club 1, Emirates NBD – Nad Al Sheba, Marmoom Dairy Farm 1, Al Faqa station 1, UAE University Mohammed bin Khalifa Street 1, City Petrol Station 1 and Sheikha Salama Mosque 1.

The Integrated Transport Centre stated that the new service comes as part of the continuous efforts dedicated to enhancing cooperation between different stakeholders in the UAE to develop the level of services offered to the public, improve the public transport network, and make travelling between the different emirates easier.

The service is expected to attract around 250,000 passengers yearly.
